Making Room for Our Little One - Phase 1 & 2

Up until now the baby's room has been known as the office or the MAN room as Ted likes to call it.  Well Ted is loosing his "man" room to the baby.  I am sure this is just one of many things we will loose to the baby, but he is worth it :-)  We have slowly started to pile things in the room and move a few things out.  This weekend we tackled a big portion of it.  Friday night started Phase 1 - assembling the futon.  We decided since we want family to come stay when he is born that we needed to have something better for them to sleep on than an air mattress.  So we got a futon and Friday night we put it together.  Now I am going to say "we" alot throughout this process, just know I mean Ted...I took pictures and handed him pieces and even read some directions now and again.

The room before - a little messy, but like I said this is not a true before pic because we had already moved some stuff out.

The Final Product - Hotel Kempinski is OPEN!!!
Ted relaxing after all his hard work...Maddie coming to check out exactly what is going on in here!!

PHASE 2 - The Crib

Yes he is actually reading the instructions!!

My very own Mr. Wilson :-)

See I actually did help a little :-) 33 weeks

Proud Dad of all his hard work :-)

The Final Product!!

It is still a little strange walking into the room and seeing the crib!  I can't believe he will be here so soon!!  This week Ted is going to paint one of the walls, then to position the furniture, fill the drawers, put up the curtains, put on the bedding and many many more things :-)  I think this will keep me busy for awhile!

  8. Great job Ted!! And great job Sharon on the Blog (and the 'helping' with the crib ;) The crib looks beautiful! Great color--love the natural wood. Showed the pictures to Mom--she likes too!
We like the the Tool Time reference too--very appropriate--and not just because of the partially obscured face! LOL!
Good luck to you guys--You are all in our thoughts and prayers! John
