Christmas

I love Christmas for so many reasons!  It is truly a celebration in my family...I look forward to Christmas morning every year. We read the story of Jesus' birth and I love that a different person reads it each year.  We almost went digital this year, reading it off Brian's Iphone...but Dad pulled through and got out the Bible.  Now that I have a son and know what birth is like, I cannot even imagine what Mary went through in that stable.  This Christmas was extra special because we got to celebrate it with our son...he slept through reading the Bible and slept through presents, but holding him during those moments was like no other gift I have ever received.  He is our little miracle and we are so thankful for him.  This year was also special because I had the opportunity to introduce Teddy to my sister and her family and Ted's brother and his family.  We also got to meet our new little nephew AJ, born almost 3 weeks before Teddy.  It was a joyous time spent with the ones we love, catching up, resting, being snowed in and playing outside in the snow.

Kempinski Family Christmas

A few days after Christmas we headed to Long Island to see Nana and the rest of our family.  We learned alot this trip about how to travel with a newborn...take the ferry no matter how much it costs!!  The 5 hour drive took us 8 1/2 hours and we arrived with a very hungry and cranky Teddy.  We are quick learners though, took the ferry home, and made it home in record time.  This trip was special at it was our first chance to meet our new nephew AJ and to introduce Teddy to Uncle Tony, Aunt Kathleen, Megan and AJ!!

It took us a few shots to get a good one of the boys together...
I am sure this was only the first of many photos shoots!!

Finally a good one!!

Megan is so sweet with Teddy!!

Teddy learned a new trick while in Long Island!  He learned how to hold
on to a toy by himself!!  We were very excited about this milestone!!

While in Long Island we had to the chance to spend time with some good friends
Emrah and Neylan.  Wish they lived closer and we could see them more often!!

We had a great Christmas this year!!  It was so nice to spend time with family!  It was a special time to spend with our son as a new family!!

Two Months Old

Two months old!!  Where has the time gone??  You are getting so big!

Maddie loves to lay on your changing table...we always have to kick him off when it's time to change your diapers!

Evidence of your smile!

Meeting Anna Rose Corbett...born 2 weeks before you!

You are two months old!!  You have changed our lives little boy and we love you so much.  You are starting to get such a little personality.  We are seeing more and more of that smile of yours and it mealts our hearts each and every time.  Here are some things I want to remember about your second month!

At 7 weeks old you weigh 10lbs 1oz.  You outgrew your newborn cloths are now wearing size 3 months.  You also outgrew size 1 diapers you are now wearing size 2 diapers!!

You are starting to like tummy time more and more…you will put up with it for longer periods of time before you start crying!

You still love to be swaddled when you sleep…speaking of sleep…you sleep like a CHAMP!!!  Starting at about 4-5 weeks old, you started sleeping 7 hours!!  We are lucky!!  Auntie Laurie told us to have you eat, play and then sleep and this routine seems to be working like a charm…Thanks Auntie Laurie!

You are starting to like your baths…no more screaming.

You are still sleeping in the bassinet in our room and you take your naps in your swing.  You love to be rocked to sleep.  You also love your sleep giraffe…he plays white noise and it calms you down almost immediately.  The only thing is that you do not like when it shuts off….it always wakes you up.

We had to go to the doctor this month and get you medicine for your reflux…but now that you have it you seem much more comfortable.  You are also a pretty gassy baby and it causes you some problems sometimes.

Overall everyone says how happy you are.  Which is true…you are an angel.  You only cry when you need something or are uncomfortable.

We are so blessed to have you as our son!!  We love you so much and are so excited to watch you continue to grow!
